🔄 How the Consignment Process Works

1. Submit Your Request

Send photos, an item list, estimated quantity, minimum values, and the platforms you are interested in using.

2. Evaluation & Intake

Moonlight reviews the items, condition, market demand, resale potential, and the best consignment path.

3. Agreement Review

Before anything is listed, the full consignment agreement is reviewed and signed.

4. Cataloging & Listing

Approved items are documented, prepared, photographed when applicable, and listed on the agreed platforms.

5. Sale & Fulfillment

Moonlight handles buyer communication, order processing, packaging, and fulfillment.

6. Payout

After the item sells and funds clear, net profit after applicable fees is split according to the agreement.

💵 Fees & Commission

• Evaluation & intake fee applies
• Listing fee: $0.35 per item, per platform
• Shipping & handling: $5 per completed sale
• Platform selling fees are charged by the selling platform
• Standard split: 70% consignor / 30% Moonlight
• Custom terms may be available for select high-value consignments

⏱ Timing & Unsold Items

• Minimum listing period: 60 days
• After 60 days, items must be picked up or shipped at the consignor’s expense within 7 days
• Extra exposure may be available through live auctions or card conventions
• Extra exposure opportunities are courtesy opportunities, not guarantees

Do I still own my items during consignment?

Yes. You remain the owner until the item sells, according to the signed consignment agreement.

Can I choose the platforms?

Platform selection is made at the start of the agreement. Shopify / Moonlight Collectibles is the required primary platform, with optional platforms available when approved.

When do I get paid?

Payout is issued after the item sells, funds clear, and applicable fees are deducted.

What if my item does not sell?

After the minimum listing period, items must be picked up or shipped back at the consignor’s expense within the required timeframe.

Are all items accepted?

No. Every submission is reviewed individually. Moonlight Collectibles may decline items that do not meet business, authenticity, condition, or resale standards.

Can fan-made or custom art be consigned?

Fan-made artwork must be fully disclosed, clearly labeled as unofficial, and may be subject to additional handling fees.
