What Is a Preorder?

A preorder allows customers to reserve products before they are officially released.

Payment is collected at checkout to reserve inventory and secure your place in our fulfillment queue.

Submitting a preorder does not guarantee immediate shipment. Orders ship only after inventory has been received from our authorized distributors.

Payment & Reservation

Your preorder reservation is confirmed once payment has been successfully processed.

Moonlight Collectibles uses preorder demand to forecast inventory requirements and secure product allocations from manufacturers and authorized distributors.

Once a preorder is placed, an inventory replenishment request or purchasing commitment may be created and submitted based on the order demand.

Distributor Allocations

Many collectible products are distributed using allocation programs established by manufacturers and authorized distributors.

While Moonlight Collectibles carefully plans inventory and does not intentionally oversell products, final quantities are determined by our distribution partners.

Allocation confirmations are typically received approximately 5–7 days before the official product release date.

If Moonlight Collectibles receives less inventory than the quantity ordered, the available quantity will be fulfilled and shipped, and the remaining unfulfilled quantity will be refunded to the original payment method.

For example, if a customer orders 10 units and Moonlight Collectibles receives enough inventory to fulfill only 2 units, the 2 available units will be shipped and the remaining 8 units will be refunded.

If no inventory is received for the product, the affected preorder item or order will be canceled and refunded.

Customers may learn of an allocation adjustment through a partial fulfillment, cancellation notice, shipment confirmation, or refund notification. Moonlight Collectibles does not provide advance notice or individual consultation regarding allocation reductions.

Release Dates

Manufacturer release dates are estimates and are subject to change without notice.

Product availability may be affected by manufacturing delays, distributor processing, transportation delays, customs, weather, allocation adjustments, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Official release dates are not guaranteed delivery dates.

Multiple Preorder Items & Combined Orders

If your order contains multiple preorder products with different release dates, your order will be held until every preorder item in that order has been released and received by Moonlight Collectibles.

To avoid unnecessary shipping delays, we strongly recommend placing separate orders for products that share the same release date.

Customers requesting multiple shipments from a single preorder order may be responsible for additional shipping charges.

Separate orders are not automatically combined. If you would like to request combined shipping, please contact us before fulfillment begins. Approval is not guaranteed, and shipping adjustments may apply.

Preorder Cancellation Fee

Customers may request cancellation of a preorder prior to fulfillment or shipment. If Moonlight Collectibles approves the cancellation request, a cancellation fee equal to 15% of the total order value will be deducted from the refund.

By placing a preorder, you acknowledge and agree to these cancellation terms.

This fee reflects the costs associated with reserving inventory, submitting customer demand to manufacturers and authorized distributors, securing product allocations, payment processing fees, and administrative expenses.

Because preorder demand is used to place replenishment orders and inventory commitments with manufacturers and authorized distributors, cancellations create direct financial obligations that often cannot be reversed. The cancellation fee helps offset these non-recoverable costs.

Individual preorder items generally cannot be removed from an existing preorder. Customers wishing to cancel must request cancellation of the entire preorder order.

The 15% cancellation fee is calculated based on the total value of the entire order, not the value of an individual item.

Once a preorder has entered fulfillment, has been prepared for shipment, or has shipped, it can no longer be canceled.

After shipment, any eligible issues will be handled in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy.

Manufacturer Changes

Manufacturers may change product packaging, artwork, promotional images, contents, configuration, release dates, or product specifications without prior notice.

Product images used during the preorder period are for illustrative purposes and may differ slightly from the final retail product.

Our Preorder Commitment

Moonlight Collectibles is committed to providing a transparent and reliable preorder experience.

We carefully monitor allocations, communicate significant changes when they occur, and fulfill preorder reservations as quickly as possible after inventory is received.

Orders are generally processed in the order they were received, subject to available inventory and distributor allocations.

Our goal is to keep customers informed throughout the preorder process while providing accurate information and dependable service.
